Recently did a speech on behalf of SCORE Dallas (I am incoming co-chair) to the Asian American Contractors and Professional Association (of Dallas). Wanted to share the content as I think useful to small business.

At SCORE Dallas, we understand the challenges faced by small businesses and the importance of mentorship in overcoming them. Our organization has a rich history spanning over 60 years, dedicated to fostering vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. SCORE is a nationwide organization, and our network is expansive. With 9,800 mentors from diverse industries and professional backgrounds, we have the capacity to help your business, no matter its size, industry, or stage of development. Among our mentors, 2,554 are women who bring unique perspectives and experiences to the table. This diversity in our mentor pool ensures that we can address the specific challenges and opportunities that your business might face.

Here in Dallas, the SCORE chapter is particularly strong, reflecting the city’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. We are fortunate to have over 80 dedicated mentors in our chapter, each bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge. These mentors are business owners, executives, and professionals who understand the challenges you face because they’ve faced them too. They are here to help you refine your business strategy, manage finances, expand your market reach, and more.

One of the core offerings of SCORE Dallas is our robust schedule of workshops. We present over 125 workshops locally each year, covering a wide range of topics critical to business success. These workshops are designed to provide you with practical, actionable insights that you can apply immediately to your business. Topics range from developing a winning business plan, mastering the latest digital marketing techniques, to understanding the nuances of financial management.

In addition to workshops, our mentors are available for one-on-one mentoring sessions.
